The Wonder that is Wonderfalls

It all started on November 29, when a friend of mine posted a picture on Facebook of himself standing in front of Niagara Falls. I left a note saying how that picture reminded me of one of my many favorite prematurely canceled shows, Wonderfalls, and then I forgot all about it. OR DID I??? No, instead that started me thinking about Wonderfalls, and how long it had been since I had watched it, and how it couldn’t possibly have been as good as I remembered it, and how cute the male lead was. This festered and bubbled in my heart until yesterday, when I finally broke down and turned on the Wonderfalls pilot episode. “I can stop at any time,” I reassured myself. “I don’t even have to finish the first episode if I don’t want to. I’m strong.”
Thirteen episodes and ten hours later, I finally came back to the dull, drab reality that is my life. No wax lions, brass monkeys or stuffed animals encouraging me to participate in their devilishly complicated machinations; no Tyron Leitso to woo me and moon after me; no kooky-but-supportive parents and siblings. Blah. I sense an impending Firefly or Arrested Development marathon next.

Afterword: I didn’t realize until yesterday that Fox is responsible for mismanaging and prematurely canceling three of my all-time favorite television shows. Three! Those bastards.

I’ll have to remember to do an intervention the next time you threaten to watch a pilot. ;)

I am, as they say, a Wonderfalls junkie. And, Mr. Leitso can woo me any time.

Fox makes some terrible decisions, but then based on their news, they must have cretins in control.

I don’t have a problem, Craig. I can stop anytime I want to!

I’m glad I’m not the only one with a totally healthy, not-at-all-addictive relationship with Wonderfalls, Dai. See, Craig? This is what normal looks like.

I’d go straight female for Tyron Leitso.

[...] night we had a Wonderfalls marathon. I love Wonderfalls. I think that has been firmly established on this blog. And now Craig loves it, too! I love infecting others with my media addictions. That [...]
