  I’m surprised this hasn’t been getting more mainstream coverage. Assuming Congress follows this investigation to its logical conclusion, Bush can now no longer be protected by the plausible deniability defense Reagan used so successfully in Iran-Contra. As one CNN viewer described it, it’s “dirty tricks on steroids.”

  I’m surprised, too. And sad. And outraged. The mainstream media needs to reclaim its role as a reliable source of genuine news, or abdicate it forever.
