A Few Good Reads
I’ve added two new features to the sidebar: a list of books I’m currently reading, and a link to my Goodreads profile. I’ve rated and/or reviewed 207 books, a mere drop in the bucket of all the books I’ve read in my life, but I’m working at it! Join Goodreads and be my friend!

The Kid is good; I really liked it.

I eagerly await your thoughts on ‘Smilla’s Sense of Snow’. It’s been probably over ten years since I read it, perhaps I should read it again – it’s often so surreal, though I think all his books are like that. I’d highly recommend his collection of short stories ‘Tales of the Night’. Excellent reading. He’s just published a new novel after a relatively long silence. I imagine a translation will be available soon.

Edgy, when I finish it, I’ll let you know whether you were right to do so. ;-)
DavidH, I’ve wanted to read Smilla’s Sense of Snow ever since I read Roger Ebert’s review of the movie adaptation in 1997. My desire was renewed when I caught the first few scenes (again of the movie) on Canadian TV a month or so ago. I’ll be sure to post a review when I’m finished with it.
