Delicious Recipe Monday
I’ve posted the impossibly delicious recipe for pasta with broccoli rabe that I made last night, and which gave me an apparently unending case of indigestion. But then I did eat half the entire batch in one sitting, so I deserves what I gets.
No one has asked for it, but the recipe for Irish cream floats is very simple: scoop vanilla ice cream into a glass or bowl. Smother in Irish cream. Consume. Repeat.

Where in the world do you get broccoli rabe here in SLC? I’ve asked at my usual shops (Wild Oats and Smiths), and they don’t have any idea what I’m talking about. Of course, neither do I, only having seen it listed in a number of recipes I’d like to try. It’s a more like leafy “greens” than broccoli, right?

They sell it at the 400 South Wild Oats under the name “rapini.” And you’re right, the point of broccoli rabe (as I only discovered recently) is the greens, not the sparse, tiny broccoli-like florets.
