I was there, too, along with my family. Now whenever my son (3) sees photographs like yours or mine or Craig’s or anyone else’s, he says, “Mama, I want to go to Temple Square and protest.” Now, when I was a good Mormon, I had no idea that someday my son would talk about going to Temple Square and protesting in the same breath. Makes me proud.

Just as an aside, I was also at the vigil you mentioned, in 2005. :)

I actually chose my slogan from a list because it was short and snappy. But after listening to the inspiring and inclusive speeches the three legislators and Rocky Anderson gave, I was feeling a lot more like the sign actually expressed my feelings.

Here’s the thing — you are amazed at how many people came out in Utah. Brother, those people were JUST IN SLC — there are thousands more like them all over Utah (including the “faithful” members of the church).

We’re keeping the faith (so to speak).

2. I am for domestic partnerships as well. I will support them if it’s ever up for debate in Utah.

It’s true, they’ve forced our hand. Unless we want to be celibate, of course—but I figure if the Mormon General Authorities can’t handle celibacy at their advanced and withered age, then I shouldn’t be expected to put up with it, either.
